JOB PURPOSE:

The IT Officer integrates the Lima CCST and Americas IT Department and is accountable, under the technical direction of IT Manager for supporting, maintaining, and improving the Cluster IT infrastructure. The IT Officer is responsible of providing 1st and 2nd level technical support services to all IFRC offices supported by the CCST. This position is based on Lima, Perú.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1 1. Ensure alignment with IFRC guidelines and policies and compliance with local, national, and international best practices, standards, regulations, and laws. 2. Ensure the effective functioning of IT Systems (this may include radio equipment) and make the appropriate recommendations to improve it with efficient and cost-effective changes. 3. Support the Infrastructure and Applications environments within the ITIL framework across IFRC systems. 4. Provide Service Desk Support to IFRC users, escalate and follow up with Americas Region IT Department and/or service providers. 5. Provide IT support to emergency operations within the Cluster or Region if needed. 6. Work closely with IFRC staff to identify training needs to make the most out of the available IT resources. 7. Maintain a proper asset inventory management within the IT Global Service Desk Tool and procure equipment with Americas Region Office and local providers. Available to travel to other countries.

Job Duties & Responsibilities 2 1. Actively work towards the achievement of the Federation Secretariat’s goals. 2. Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles. 3. Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related (Required)

Microsoft, Cisco or related certifications (Required) ITIL Certification (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

3 years of experience in Information and Communication Technology (Required)

2 years relevant work experience managing an office network environment (Required) Experience on working with Office 365 Admin Center and Collaboration Tools (Required)

Experience on working with Microsoft Azure fundamental environment (Required)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and LANGUAGE:

Expertise with systems and applications such as: Network components, e-mail systems, Client/Server systems, Internet Service Provider, IP communications, business and productivity applications, hardware (Current are predominately Microsoft, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Cisco based) (Required) Ability to create manuals, hand outs and training material (Required) Strong organization and time management skills (Required) Good communications skills customer (users) oriented (Required) Knowledge of telecommunication; MF/HF, VHF, UHF, Satellite Phones (Preferred) Fluently spoken and written English and Spanish (Required) Good command of another IFRC official language (French) (Preferred)
