The post holder will drive implementation of the Movement-wide Principles for Resource Mobilization and its deliverables led by the IFRC, ICRC and National Societies. He/she will provide leadership to drive excellence in fundraising across all components of the Movement, working closely with the hub technical groups, National Society fundraising directors, and IFRC and ICRC senior leadership. He/she will lead the development of the hub and its deliverables including digital projects, data projects, learning and development projects and international fundraising development & investment fund projects.
Develop the hub’s strategy and implement the programme of work, create and manage medium & long-term goals, in consultation with and the support of Movement partners;
• Develop and manage a budget and operating plan for the programme;
• Coordinate and manage the diverse projects of the hub programme overall: initiate, design and drive projects relating to the development of the hub and its activities, in line with the Movement-wide Vision & Principles for Resource Mobilization, convene meetings and preparation of papers, etc;
• Contingent on funding, recruit and manage a team of project managers responsible for the development of individual hub workstreams or projects, who may be seconded from different components of the Movement, with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities;
• Develop and manage relations with National Societies and other Movement components to ensure, and lead on, Movement-wide cooperation and coordination in resource mobilisation through the Hub.
• Engage Movement partners in order to mobilize support for the programme of work among different Movement partners, and write funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of projects;
• Ensure coordination between individual projects and workstreams, and alignment with overall aims of the hub;
• Develop a monitoring and evaluation method to assess strengths, identify areas for improvement and to keep track of progress of all work related to the hub;
• Produce accurate and timely reporting of programme status throughout its life cycle for both line management (Chairs’ group) and wider governance audience (e.g. Steering Committee);
• Manage and implement a communication and engagement plan, including drafting of communication materials to be shared with various audiences through a variety of media, to ensure transparency regarding project issues and decisions;
• Support the Chairs’ Group and Steering Committee in between meetings, including engaging members, provide regular updates on progress and issues, ensure the appropriate level representation at relevant Movement meetings and networks;
• Represent the hub with diverse audiences including National Societies, ICRC and IFRC, and develop effective advocacy & communications to promote the hub’s priorities;
• Co-ordinate the drafting of the progress report to the Council of Delegates, ensuring input from relevant stakeholders and liaising with IFRC and ICRC governance teams.
