Job Purpose The Administrative Support Officer is responsible for providing support to the Cluster team ensuring that administrative matters are dealt in an efficient and organized manner while the team focuses their efforts on the technical aspects of their role. The incumbent will work in a cross-functional environment with direct interaction and collaboration with the Regional Office based in Panama to ensure proper and timely follow up to requests, issues and general support needed.
Position Requirements
Education
University degree in a relevant area
Experience
- 3+ years’ experience providing general administrative support in a similar context
- 2+ years’ experience working for an International Humanitarian assistance and/or development organization
- Experience and availability to travel to other countries
- 2+ years’ experience working for the International Federation - Preferred
- Experience working with a Red Cross / Red Crescent National Society - Preffered
Knowledge, skillsandlanguages
- High level of organization, efficiency and ability to cope with changing demands
- Strong computer/database skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment and with different technical lines
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- High level of confidentiality
Languages:
- Fluently spoken and written English and Spanish
- Good command of another IFRC official language (French) or a language relevant to the region or country of assignment (i.e. Creole) - preferred
