Organizational Context

The IFRC is headquartered in Geneva, with regional and country offices throughout the world. The IFRC is led by a Secretary General. The Geneva headquarters provides support to governance mechanisms; sets norms and standards; provides guidance to field offices; ensures consistency, coordination, and accountability for performance; facilitates knowledge sharing; promotes collaboration within and respect for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement; and expands engagement with partners. The headquarters is organized into four main divisions: (i) Global Relations, Humanitarian Diplomacy and Digitalization (GRHDD); (ii) Management Policy, Strategy and Corporate Services (MPSCS); (iii) National Society Development and Operations Coordination (NSDOC), and (iv) Office of the Secretary General (OSG). Belonging to the GRHDD Division, the Information Technology and Digitalization Department (DITD) coordinates and provides all information and communications technology services for the IFRC globally acting as “One IT” for “One Secretariat”. There’s a regional office of the secretariat in Kuala Lumpur, who hosts part of the DITD team who provides support to the 650 headcounts operating in the different offices of Asia Pacific.

Job Purpose

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is looking for a consultant who can help to accelerate the enrolment of the Asia Pacific staffs and consultants.

The implementation of our Intune MDM started on November 2019, it helps to strengthen our IT Security, as well realign it with our recently reviewed device management policies for corporate devices and personal devices (BYOD).

As we roll out severalpolicies, we organize a 1:1 session per user (physically or remotely) in order to make sure that within 45’, a user is onboarded and still able to use both the corporate laptop and corporate or personal mobile phone for accessing the company information.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1.Technical requirements:

a. Understand the concept of MDM and MAM in the context of Windows and Mobile devices and support the users in the enrolment/registration process as per the organizational policy.

b. Deploy W10/W11 Images (MDT + Autopilot) and investigate/fix potential deployment issues such as:

i) MDT Task sequence issues.

ii) Autopilot hash import problems.

iii) AAD Join known issues and fixes.

c. Identify and remove stale objects from AAD/Intune/Autopilot as needed.

d. Perform prerequisite checks (predicted compliance) of laptops before enrolment, including potential investigation and fixing as required using the available tools.

e. Enrol/Unenroll devices and users (laptops and phones) to MDM/MAM. Investigate synchronization, policy and policy applicability, and compliance issues.

f. Investigate and remediate issues related to:

i) Compliance policies

ii) Device Configuration Profiles

iii) Conditional Access Policies

iv) Devices Enrolment Restrictions

v) Update Ring policies

vi) Feature Upgrade policies

vii)Overall performance of the devices

2.Manage the enrolment sessions as per the agreed scope and processes.

a. Welcome the user, share the why of the roll out and answer to their questions on what will concretely change for them

b. Check the compliance of their devices to enrol them and within the support of the IT Infra team (based in Budapest) define what are the steps to restore the compliancy when needed

c. Add the user to the enrolment group

d. Make sure the user performs all the configuration steps so that he canstill access from all his devices to the IFRC information before he leaves the session

3.Support the users after the session:

a. Answer to the tickets post enrolment

b. Enrich the knowledge base and improve the materials

4.Report and schedule

a. Report on the progress to the project team

b. Reschedule sessions users couldn’t attend

c. Schedule next enrolments based on priorities defined by the project team

Expected outcomes:

  • Proactive report of the activity performed
  • 7 successful enrolments sessions a day. Up to 700 users to enrol to complete the enrolment of Asia Pacific
  • Ability to optimize the plan for the coming days, based on a target audience to address

Expected working location:

The implementation is expected to happen physically in the IFRC Secretariat headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office. Some sessions with users might happen remotely. Sessions will happen in technical coordination with our IT Infrastructure Team located at the IFRC Global Services Centre, in Budapest 1132, Váci út 30., Hungary. We will provide access to our systems based on your specific and well justified demands.

Education

Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree

Knowledge and experience required

  • Solid IT Infra / System background
  • Experience in the roll out of MDM/MAM projects, Intune is preferred
  • Very Good knowledge of Microsoft Intune
  • Excellent communications skills in English

Language of the work:

Required English with minimum medium-high level.

Competencies, Values and Comments

Expected period for implementation:

  • Scope: approximately 650 – 700 users will need to be enrolled. We estimate that the pace to enrol users will be 5 to 6 users per day.
  • Workload:based on the above, the estimated workload will be in between 117 days and 130 days.
  • Timing: Between May 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.
